There is always something we are waiting on…..no matter the wait, the uncertainty, the time it takes–we have to be patient…..

Sometimes during this time of wait–we learn a lot about ourself.

It is a time to truly examine our own heart, our own motives.

But, hopefully in the end, we can look back on our time on this earth and say we lived it to our fullest.

We loved others as we would love ourself. We forgave others.

Because only these good fruits over time can produce something as beautiful as a white dove.

Motherhood:

sacrifice. joy. bliss. unconditional love. labor. challenging. patience. persistence. prayer.

Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.

Proverbs 31:2 8Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her.

May sweet moments I captured touch your heart today, and make you want to squeeze your child a little tighter today, ask them fun questions, tell them you love them all the way to the moon and back.

Being a mother is hard work–but always worth it, sometimes it goes unnoticed, and that calls me to want to give away one free session to a mother. So, she can get primped up one day and have a shoot all about HER. Oh how I adore engagement sessions…..and I even adore more this is a girl I graduated with from high school. We have memories that go waaaaaay back….probably a few that should never be shared….hahaha. You know when someone tells you something like–”when I get engaged one day you are going to shoot my wedding”….and then you just kinda take it thankfully but doubt it will actually happen. Well, was I wrong! My sweet friend did tell me that, like 3 years ago!! And look who was put in her place….haha. And I AM shooting her wedding!!! Sooo fun! It is going to one wild and fun wedding!

But, how bout these engagements pics…..contagious smiles, glorious sunlight, and ONE GOOD LOOKING COUPLE! Feast your eyes on these two.

Introducing miss Katy and mr Jonathan….that trendy couple every photographer dreams of taking pics of. Okay, I’ve been working everyone up for this E-session, and that is because it is full of history, full of details, full of romance, and full of……of…..well…..why don’t you look for yourself.

A little rewind….miss katy and I have history in church, and I sorta mentored her in some girl retreats at our church. It is crazy that she is old enough to be getting married…or maybe I am just getting old! Katy has grown up to be just as talented as her amazing musical parents. And I have become just as tickled about working with Jonathan. He and her are quite gems.

The history goes even further back from all the dreamy locations we shot at. We shot at Katy’s great grandmas old home, but the home no longer is there, but still took an old time looking photo in the area where the house stood. We also shot at her mothers home where she grew up. And collected antiques as we drove around to each location, as there was still stuff laying around in the old homes. It was a goldmine for a photographer who loves vintage props. All I know is that their wedding will be FULL of glorious details!!! Okay…..are you ready for this Esession?! On your mark, get set, GO! Spring is a time for excitement, and warming up. Joy. and new beginnings.

Spring we are more positive. Spring we have to nurture our gardens (if we have one) water our grass to prepare for the dry and hot summer. And spring is a time for planting seeds for hopes to reap a harvest of joy and happiness.

Spring time we begin planning our summer activities.

Max Lucado says spring is a time of new beginnings, “new patterns of life, new ways of listening and expressing concern, and new ways of loving.”

Obviously we can not stay in spring forever, and we all know summer comes next….so how we will prepare for the steamy weather that can make us feel sticky and irritated? Sancus Real couldn’t put the words anymore perfect than this…….

I have been one lucky photographer with all the lovely couples I have been getting to work with lately…and I will admit, this couple is golden. We drove around grannies farm to find the perfect spots for pictures. But, meeting the cows were by far my favorite part! The cows seriously were like pets! Trai even got a sweet kiss….maybe a little jealousy going on….Kristen, you better watch you…you might have a cow as a pet.
