My family……they are my biggest fans…..
I would not be where I am today with my business if it was not for my family. While finishing up my Masters my daughter was only an infant at the time, and the thought of me leaving her everyday to an 8-5 job killed me. I was always taking pictures, whether just for fun or for others when an opportunity was given to me. When I graduated May 2009 with my M.A. in Marriage and Family Counseling I applied for one job, got down to the top 3, and was not hired. I’ll be honest, it was a huge relief because I knew that was not what I really wanted for my life at the time. I always prayed for a family, and wanting to be a wife, and me not raising my own child just did not seem right. I asked my Godly husband what he thought about me starting up an actual photography business, and he 100% believed in me and said lets do it. I love that he made it a team statement, and it wasn’t only gonna be my business. No matter what small/large business you run, you are bringing in the whole family. As much as we don’t like to say it, but our business becomes their business too. The way we reflect our business, can reflect a whole lot in the way we reflect the way we manage our family…or maybe that’s not the case for you. But, all this to say, my family inspires me, makes me love more, makes me want to be a better person that reflects Christ in all my work. And one of my business mottos comes from Colossians 3:23-24…..”whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.”

I am taking this time to write to you to tell you haw much I adore your photography work! I am a Mother, with two adult sons, a daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. My dream is to have a “unique” portrait of my whole family in a lovely nature or outdoor setting. I purchased the “living social” coupon and hope to use it in the springtime or summer. Maybe we can get together sometime soon to discuss the possibilities of what this very wonderful portrait may look like! That would be me (the Mother), two adult sons (athletic types), one beautiful dark-haired daughter-in-law, one three year old feisty and handsome grandson, and one seven year old granddaughter (little actress!).
